CHARLIZE WONG

Born in 2014, Charlize Wong started piano at the age of four years and six months with Ms. Yoanna Mesa. She also studied under Mr. Linh Nguyen from 2020-2021.  Currently, she is studying under the instruction of Prof. Dr. Hab. Krzysztof Jablonski.  

Charlize was featured as the Classic Festival Highlight in 2021 and was awarded a scholarship by the Calgary Performing Arts Festival.  The same year, she also won silver in Division I at the Steinway Junior competition. In order to gain more performance exposure, Charlize busked at local parks and raised $375 for the Children’s Hospital. 

Charlize’s admiration for music does not stop at piano. She also enjoys violin, guitar and vocal. She loves to listen and analyze different remixes of songs often creating her own rendition. 

Aside from music, Charlize is a very active girl.  She is a competitive dancer and placed first in her first jazz solo debut in 2021. For leisure, she has a love for skiing and snowboarding in the winter and biking and swimming in the summer.
